Transfer Logistics Virginia, Inc. (TLV) offers transload and stuffing/stripping of ocean freight containers, primarily packaged USDA humanitarian food aid (bags, boxes, drum, pails) for developing countries. TLV’s primary business is rail and truck direct transload to ocean containers, as well as other container-related services such as transloading various grades of metal, including both scrap and finished goods. TLV works for cargo suppliers and ocean freight carriers that bid USDA and USAID tenders, as well as metal processors and brokers engaged in international trade. Customers include international steamship line companies, suppliers of USDA and USAID humanitarian food aid cargo, logistics companies, freight forwarders and U.S. government agencies. TLV handles approximately 100,000 metric tons per year in Virginia Beach, Virginia. TLV possesses extensive knowledge of the processes, rules, regulations and paper flow required by U.S. government agencies, steamship lines, suppliers, freight forwarders and private voluntary organizations.
